The launch of Annaiyin Thalattu and Thai, two audio CD's dedicated to The Mother of Aurobindo Ashram, Pondicherry was a solemn affair. Pyramid Saimira's chairman and managing director, PS Saminathan, an ardent devotee for the past 10 years, was the man behind the effort. Attended by KS Srinivasan, Venkat Prabhu, Premgi, Siva and Vaibhav amongst a host of other family and friends of the promoters, the function brought together avid devotees of the benign Mother as well.

Revealing the motive behind such a launch, Saminathan said, "Today is the Mother's birthday and we wanted to do something for the devotees on this day, in remembrance of her. We wanted to spread the grace of the Mother amongst the people. Every year we try to do something different on her birthday which falls on February 21."

Music is by Gangai Amaran and his granddaughter Shree Shivani Venkat has also sung in the album. Other singers include SPB, Unnikrishnan, Srinivas, Swarnalatha, Sujata, Vijay Yesudas, Anuradha Sriram, Gangai Amaran and Manikku Vinayagam amongst others.
