“The bitter truth is that even after seven decades of Independence, the majority of India’s youth has still not read what they tend to glorify and are satisfied with just inheritance. Inheritance with lack of knowledge. History studied and written by others. Sri Aurobindo says we should keep the past as a strong foundation and leap towards the bright future,” he explained.

An important omission in the book is Sri Aurobindo. To be fair to the author, though the book is titled Hitler and India, the emphasis seemed to be more on Hitler’s views on India – particularly his hatred for Indians and his deep hatred for them as an inferior race. Yet, as the author had dealt with Savarkar, Hedgewar, Moonje and Golwalkar, it should only be fair that he should have also dealt with Sri Aurobindo. byAravindan Neelakandan

Akash's book 'Better to Have Gone' continues to make waves. Something good, even a great deal good, for the journey of Auroville, for human advance into the "broad sunlit uplands" (Churchill) cannot but come out of it.
Some upcoming events, by A few days back in #Bolpur felicitated my good friend Sh , Sri Aurobindo scholar & Professor at Visva Bharati,#Santiniketan,on his appointment as Member, Governing Board, Auroville Foundation. It is remarkable how #ModiGovt recognises & honours such eminent scholars. Many tourists go back with very adverse feelings about The Mother & Sri Aurobindo after visiting Puducherry and Auroville. Saying that we are no separate religion while showing all the signs of a new religion is confusing. People have a mind of their own and they understand truth.
Vrekhem is one of our greatest Devotees. I haven't read the book but you know his exacting standards. He might have theorised about a particular scenario and then demolished it. In any case, many link Nietzsche to Hitler. Sri Aurobindo too said the same earlier. So its relevant.
Hitler and His God: The Background to the Nazi Phenomenon by Georges van Vrekhem is essential reading in this context which documents how intensely #SriAurobindo was involved in the whole exercise from the "tranquility" of his Ashram in Puducherry. https://auroville.org/contents/3665
