Albert camus and his over thinking to the point of absurdity

The Mother came to #Puducherry to meet Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. This single event is the only tangible reason to believe that there is some meaning in our existence and what all the philosophies and religions have been searching for will certainly be found out. Gratitude.
No historian would find it relevant vis-à-vis the World Wars or Independence of India. Even her contribution in shaping Sri Aurobindo's philosophy and ideal of human unity is still underappreciated. #TheMother however is busy with her Evolutionary task of divinisation of the body

Happy #SavitriEraDay on the sacred occasion of 104th anniversary of The Mother's first arrival in Puducherry and meeting Sri Aurobindo on March 29, 1914. May the whole world come under her love and grace #MirraAlfassa #SriAurobindo #Pondicherry #SavitriEra #FiveDreams #WorldUnion

Feel Philosophy: Rousseau's readers learned to expect no verification
30 Mar 1914, the day after the Mother first saw Sri Aurobindo: It matters little that there are thousands of beings plunged in the densest ignorance, He whom we saw yesterday is on earth

Spiritual significance of flowers by The Mother and Psychological interpretation of Vedic deities by Sri Aurobindo are original works and have much in common. Both highlight ethics and virtues without being tethered to any rewards mechanism of Karma theory
While the theories of Presocratic philosophers on natural elements like earth, air, fire, and water are well known, Vedic pronouncements on the same like agni etc are not very popular. Sri Aurobindo explains them as rungs of consciousness not far removed from inquiries in physics

Gang Neher near Muradnagar (UP) hosts many festivals round the year but why no one from the Hindutva camp cares for a facelift of the area is a mystery. High sounding lectures on Dharma are futile if basic facilities are not provided on ground. No one's aesthetic sense is pricked

The question is why this pathetic need to wallow in the mud of Twitter after having such lofty experiences; the function of a rational posture (self-interest and self-protection) seems to be a reflex action and never vanishes. Further ordinary prudence is vital in initial stages.

For those who can read the tamizh (to be really honest & objective, the language is not that difficult at all), it is clear how the saiddhAntika shaivas valued their adherence to vaidika-smArta norms as a basis for their superiority over vAmas, etc.

Beautiful. People often mistake ritual fidelity to be a sign of being fixated, not progressive enough. Whilst the true function of fidelity to ritual is to carve grooves within consciousness, pathways of lucid act and thought, layered by faith and inner receptivity..
And in that locus of many attitudes and poises within, come the magic hour, a portal opens..our personal door to vistas higher..the palpable contact, the visitation of Ishwara occurs..then we understand the purpose of fidelity to the ritual, though it numbs the thinking mind..
Are you privy Sir to all the inner dynamics of all who tweet? I choose this mud. I play so a few might see and know it’s okay to play. Each rung though crossed many times, I savour as if anew. I hunt what I possess, to grasp with fresh fervour. I have not sought thy counsel...

Very good interview. She also has the right understanding of the utility of a ritual. This is the traditional Mimāmsaka position, as well as the Confucian position.
Just like a laboratory needs to be maintained with proper etiquette, so does the mind.

Most of the junk philosophy in AI is just an extension of Christian theology.

An interesting but a tragic perspective. The fact is we humans have consistently refused to evolve in:
(1) The type of problems we need to focus
(2) The type of reward mechanisms for encouraging progress
(3) The type of computational systems that allow us measure this progress

Why are certain mathematical ideas literally bliss inducing to hold in mind, as well as beautiful in their form? Life is very weird. Plato, Pythagoras, Hypatia etc were certainly right that mathematics can be a form of mysticism #philosophy

As someone fascinated by science and computation the only thing that is more fascinating for me is the limits of science, and the "big questions" that arise there, that have occupied sages, saints, philosophers and madmen in equal part, since thought itself began.

Don't forget Albert camus and his over thinking to the point of absurdity teachings. How can quantitative fact be considered recalcitrant, yet their relial on debasement is only founded on personal observations dripping with biasism

The psychic is able to project itself into past states of consciousness, experience and anticipate future states of consciousness and experience. ... it can feel the intention of the Divine.

Many RW handles like @sanjeevsanyal @followsanjeev @dharmadispatch apart from @esamskritiindia @IndiaFactsOrg @Pragyata_ @prekshaajournal etc. deal with religion but Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF) has been disseminating an Integral view on Sri Aurobindo since 2005. @NathTusar

Sri Aurobindo spoke of #WorldUnion in his August 14, 1947 radio broadcast and visualised a free association of free nations. States of India and Pakistan being Sovereign and forming a Federation would be a step in that direction. If not done peacefully, unrest is sure to happen.

Savitri Era Learning Forum (SELF since 2005): Sri Aurobindo considers the conquest of death to be essential Tusar Nath Mohapatra @NathTusar #MirraAlfassa #SriAurobindo #FiveDreams #WorldUnion #Puducherry #IntegralYoga #SavitriEraDay

[Despite inconsistency in statements, it is undeniable that Sri Aurobindo did consider the conquest of death to be essential–as shown by Savitri and his plays and poetry. The conquest of death is clearly central to his vision of the divine life on earth.]

“The Joy of Sex was a seminal book. It not only reflected but created the sexual revolution.”
In the last half century, attitudes to sex have transformed beyond recognition. But while people weren't getting it on, which books changed minds—and bedrooms?

The mistake you make is confusing faith with belief.
