[The very first stage necessary for evolution is that of widening. Widening is nothing but the expansion of one’s horizon of learning and understanding of matter in order to undergo a qualitative change.]MACBETH: AN INVERTED TREATMENT OF SRI AUROBINDO’S SATCHITANANDA Roshan Johri
Yoga is not mere skill in works. Turning an instrument in the hands of the Divine with perfect surrender and equanimity is the secret. The day to day situation however varies with new challenges and problems. So a continuous urge towards achieving harmony all the time is the task
Savitri Era Open Forum: Sri Aurobindo's nationalism was part of a spiritual vision seof.blogspot.com/2022/11/sri-au Collated by Tusar Nath Mohapatra, Founder, Savitri Era Religion (2006) and President, Savitri Era Party (2007) Savitri Era of those who adore, Om Sri Aurobindo & The Mother.
I have been reading the works of The Mother & Sri Aurobindo since 1964 but it's only after migrating to Delhi in 1988 that I was exposed to books comparing Sri Aurobindo to Western philosophers in the Ashram - Delhi branch library. Two decades later I came to realise its futility.
The poetry and philosophy of Sri Aurobindo has to be understood with great care. Comparison with other thinkers facilitates following meticulously. His historical role too has to be assessed in relation to other contemporaries. But his divinity makes him stand apart from the rest.
Sri Aurobindo explained how we are in the middle of the evolution process and the next step is Supramental. That's the knowledge part but the devotional element is to surrender to The Mother & Sri Aurobindo for the success of this evolutionary ascent. Becoming an instrument is work.

In parallel, S. S. Gill was one of the first in India to pose the problem of the phenomenon of the Nehru-Gandhi dynasty as a form of transfer of power in recent history. He points out that in South Asia they love dynasties, because there is a strong desire for deification and worship. At the same time, the Nehru-Gandhi family managed, in his opinion, to bring stability to the institutions of state power due to the smooth succession of power: "God's spark of Nehru guaranteed a smooth succession of power. The dynasty became the central place of aura and myths and served as a political center." [5, p. 384]. For him, dynastic rule was necessary to maintain order and stability: "Although it offends the spirit of republicanism, the rule of the dynasty is a necessary evil"
