Sri Aurobindo's thought is indeed anthropocentric

Sri Aurobindo's—and the Mother's—life, they together traversing the Path of Descent from the moment they met first on 29 March 1914, at 4 pm in the Ashram's Guest House where Sri Aurobindo was staying at that time. ...

Is existence essentially unreal? (himanshu damle): Aurobindo and Philosophy By himanshu damle
I was at a seminar hosted in honour of celebrating the centenary of Aurobindo's arrival in
Pondicherry. Three days, but I could only find myself attend one and a half days, which were intense, no doubt. ...
Although a sense of deifying Aurobindo is so very palpable here, it none the less becomes difficult if the point is not taken clearly and there is a circuit collapse in thinker's own 'so-called disciples' way of thinking. Apart from the personal saga of the first narrative, cases like Aurobindo's disciples asking him to cure them of their ailment and he in tun directing them at the doctor and then saying this directing is itself the force acting is simply ridiculous to take any credibility of. Then came a short talk on 'The Ultimate Theory of Everything' and lessons to be taken from Aurobindo and must say that the speaker did reveal importantly that despite 100 years' of science's jettisoning 'Ether' from its manyfoldedness, it has come back to be all pervading and in Aurobindo is termed 'Consciousness'!!!!! This was perplexing indeed. A scholarly talk, but at times showing proclivities towards 'Thou Art Aurobindo'…
But, a sense of pride was felt by me (narcissism does tend to take over at times), when it was agreed that his thought is indeed anthropocentric and the reason given being man as the highest development of consciousness (thats what I called earlier circuit collapse)!!!!!! If, instead of demanding an “either/or” solution to the process of creation, we accept that both “chance” and “necessity” represent essential aspects of the creative process, we find that suddenly the “inexplicable” starts to make sense.
We see on the one side the fantastic variety and uniqueness of forms that appear to occur purely by chance and do not seem to follow any fixed design as to the specifics of any of these forms; and on the other side, we can drill down and find exact mathematical precision and an “architecture” to the structure of the universe that clearly represents some organised and systematic approach to building up the creation.

It is thoroughly worn, the pages all separated, the cover weather-beaten. I once carried it with me to a meeting of the New York Sri Aurobindo Center (when there was such a thing) in the rain, refusing to close it while reading walking in the rain, so that it was thoroughly soaked. I offered it to Sri Aurobindo in the rain. I do not regret that, because it is still readable. I felt, "It is more important for me to read these words now than for this copy to be left dry." I knew that Sri Aurobindo could stop the rain if He wanted to. Hugh Higgins Posted by Cosmic Piper to Savitri Era Open Forum at 1:03 AM, March 29, 2010

To overcome the difficulty of justifying a world of suffering created by an all-powerful, all-knowing Divine Creator, we can look at the creation from the viewpoint of the Creator being immanent within it, “himself in some sort both the player and the play, an Infinite casting infinite possibilities into the set form of an evolutionary cosmic order.”
from     bijan ghosh you are thoroughly misconceived.
savitri is mantra, not a literature. It is matter of realisation.
There can not be any critical edition of mantra.
Whatever appears to you as 'wrong' is Savitri, is your mental disposition. 1954 ed. Savitri is Original, which has been reprinted by an institution, "Foundation for Sri Aurobindo and His Original Works" - available at Pondicherry.
Since 01.01.1957 - Savitri has been subjected to tampering, so all such editions are only preparations to say today by the trustees, that 'there is no original edition of savitri, critical ed. of 1993 is the closest to His intention'.
the intention and substance of 1993 critical ed of Savitri is now crystal clear with the release of the book, 'The Lives of Sri Aurobindo' by Peter Heehs - who is the main architect of 1993 critical ed of Savitri, as continuously sponsored by MDG & Co.
Yes, ‘Savitri’ is a Mantra. The original Mantra is getting continuously transformed by unholy tamperers. As there are going to be too many versions of the original celestial Mantra, why not to name them differently to avoid confusion?  - Jitendra Sharma

Language comes to media not all at once but in fits and starts as technologies develop and practitioners discover—and create—the medium’s specificity. The language of film, for example, evolved from the earliest cinema using stationary cameras through successive waves of technological development and creative experimentation, forging the grammar, syntax and rhetoric of today’s special effects, digital animation, nuanced color, digitized sound and plethora of camera techniques. In the last few years, electronic literature has moved beyond the print-based assumptions characteristic of first-generation texts into second-generation works that increasingly exploit the capabilities offered by digital environments.

Sri Aurobindo had an advanced understanding of the planes of existence

Discourse on the ‘Upanishad’ – by Dr. Shikha Mukherjee Sat, March 27, 6:30 pm – 7:30 pm (Monthly at 6:30 pm on the fourth Saturday) Sri Aurobindo Institute of Culture, Kolkata
There are of course issues involved with the idea of an extra-cosmic Divinity such as we have discussed in the prior post. The fact that we cannot recognize, experience or see such a creator deity is not the essential difficulty here, as all of these things could be relatively easily explained away by our limitations of perception or our standpoint. Under the same basic heading would come the idea of a divine Creator who is not entirely separate and beyond the creation, but immanent within it. The issues involved here are basically the same.

Even before coming and meeting Sri Aurobindo, I had realized everything needed to begin his yoga. It was all ready, classified, organized. Magnificent! A superb mental construction ... which he demolished within five minutes! ...
I would be very surprised if Aurobindo had said that the seat of the soul, or of anandamaya kosh was in the physical heart. I am familiar with much of his writing, and I never came across anything like that. Aurobindo had an advanced understanding of the planes of existence from the physical through the vital, mental and up to the supra-mental. I would check your sources on that one.
In my experience the spiritual heart is located to the right side of the chest, so it is separate from the physical heart and from the heart chakra, which is located in the centre of the chest. Christi
Or does Mr. RYD want us to expect that for the publication of Mr. RYD's so-called "sacred" edition of the 1950-51 edition of the Savitri, Sri Aurobindo himself went to the press to letterpress or typeset each and every page of the first "sacred" copy of the Savitri? […] What came out from Sri Aurobindo directly was what he wrote with his pen - that alone according to me can, if at all, be called "sacred".
So Mr. RYD should not try to impose on us his dogma that the only true and pure form of Savitri is what the type-setter did in the Printing Press before 1951! Mr. RYD of course has the right to believe in whatever he likes as a matter of personal faith, but we are surely not bound to buy his line that the type-setter's work is superior to what came directly out of Sri Aurobindo's pen!
It will be good to have the first edition of ‘Savitri’ exactly as it was published. The changes that were incorporated in the text, may be given separately in a printed booklet. Let a reader decide whether to accept a change or not. Jitendra Sharma
