The Sri Aurobindo Ashram began to take shape with her arrival. Soon, she became known as 'the Mother'. The Ashram she shaped was not a hermitage for ascetics, but a community of sadhaks for whom the world itself was the Divine in action ...

Re: Jung’s Psychology of the Living God and Transformation of Individual and Community: Part II—by David Johnston
Johnston writes:
“Although Jung made no such reference, in my estimation, the emphasis on individuation and consciousness as well as aspiration to the Pleroma opens up the possibility of experiencing samadhishta, a self-gathered and waking state of Samadhi, along with its full realization in a globalized life.”
I object to the use of the term ‘samadhishta’ in such a context… One more observation. Once I questioned with the late M.P. Pandit the usage of the term ‘supramental’, in Sri Aurobindo’s work published in the Arya. Pandit’s reply was that, at that time, Sri Aurobindo used the term literally, rather than as it will appear in his successive formulations. Paulette
